FAQ

What does Trois Mec mean?

Trois Mec means "three guys." It's French slang for three friends. Three homies. Yes, we know we spelled it wrong. We did it on purpose.


What days are you open?

We are open Tuesday-Saturday for dinner service starting at 6:00 PM.


Do you take walk-ins?

No. Due to the restrictions of having a set menu, we are a reservations-only restaurant. Please visit our sister restaurant next door, Petit Trois, for walk-in a la Carte offerings.


How long does dinner usually last?

Your reservation guarantees your table for a maximum of 2 hours from the start of your reservation time in order to ensure the equal courtesy of a prompt seating for each guest.


How do I make a reservation?

Dining reservations are available online through Resy.com, by phone at (323) 484-8588, or by email at vanessa@troismec.com.


How far in advance can I make a reservation?

We release reservations every other Friday morning at 10AM PST for a 2-week period that begins 10 days from the release date. Please refer to our home page for a schedule of upcoming reservation release dates.


Do you have a waitlist or cancellation list?

Yes! If there are no available reservations for a particular date and party size, you are able to request to be notified if there is a cancellation by choosing the “notify me” option on Resy’s website. Should anything open up for your selected date/time, you will receive an automated email from Resy informing you of the open reservation.


What is your reservation cancellation policy?

For reservations booked in advance, guests will have up to 48 hours prior to their reservation to cancel or alter their reservation. Once within the 48 hour period before the reservation, any changes, cancellations, and no-show reservations are subject to a fee of the full price of the menu plus tax and an 18% service charge per person

Reservations made within 48 hours before the reservation time cannot be cancelled and are subject to the same cancellation or no-show fee.


May I increase the size of my party or change my reservation once booked?

This will be evaluated on a case by case basis. If we are able to accommodate a larger party we absolutely will. Please email vanessa@troismec.com to inquire.


Resy system log-out times:

Please be advised that you will have 10 minutes to complete the transaction once a reservation is selected. If you exceed the allotted time you will be signed out and the reservation will be released back into our system for other guests to book.


What is the largest party size you can accommodate?

We offer reservations for parties of up to 6 guests. Should you have a larger party, please email vanessa@troismec.com to inquire about seating options.


Can I make reservations for 7 or more people at one table?

The largest table at Trois Mec can accommodate up to 6 guests. Depending on our availability, we can accommodate reservations for up to 12 guests by seating two tables of 6 next to each other, however our tables cannot be pushed together.  If you have a party larger than 12 guests, you may inquire about buying out the entire restaurant by emailing garce@troismec.com


How much does the menu cost at Trois Mec?

The current menu price is $110 per person however is subject to change. The menu price is subject to tax and an 18% service charge at the time of billing.


What does my reservation include?

When you make a reservation at Trois Mec, it includes the tasting menu for each guest in the reservation which will be billed on the day of of the reservation. You will have the option to purchase supplemental food, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages upon arrival.


Why is a service charge added?

Service is an integral part of your meal and an 18% service charge will be assessed on any food or beverage consumed during the course of your meal. We add an automatic 18% service charge to ensure that we are able to pay our entire staff a higher hourly wage. Any additional gratuity you leave will be split amongst the staff present on the night of your reservation.


What is on the menu?

The menu will vary. We find and source the best ingredients possible to serve a prix-fixe tasting menu each night. Please visit our menu tab to view current menu offerings. Please be advised the menu is always subject to variation and change


Will you accommodate allergies?

Our reservationist will reach out to you prior to your reservation to confirm any allergies or dietary restrictions.

We cannot guarantee the accommodation all allergies, but if there is anything we can do, we must know in advance to prepare accordingly. Given the severity of risk in modifying a dish that may have an allergic component, the ability to accommodate particular allergies are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If we are able to, we will substitute or modify a dish so that is safe for you to consume. Requests to accommodate no dairy are assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the current menu offerings.


Will you accommodate vegetarians?

Yes, there is the option to request an exclusively vegetarian menu.


Will you accommodate vegans?

At this time, we cannot guarantee the accommodation of a vegan menu, however please inquire with vanessa@troismec.com in advance of your reservation to inquire about our current menu offerings.


Do you allow corkage?

No, we do not allow guests to bring any outside food or beverages. We have taken great care to create a wine list that complements and enhances your dining experience at Trois Mec. In addition, beverage pairings, featured glass pours, and beer options are available nightly.


Will my dinner be affected if I am late for my reservation?

Yes. While it is our intent for all of our guests to experience the full menu and dining experience we have taken so much care to create, if you or a dining partner are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to start service before your whole party arrives in order to serve the menu to completion. In addition, please be aware that a late-starting dinner will, by necessity, move at a faster pace so that your dinner remains within the two-hour time limit.

Please keep in mind that we do have a full second seating each night. If your stated dining time is before 7:00pm, your table has more than likely been reserved for the second seating and we must respect those reservation times. If you are late, please email vanessa@troismec.com to let us know in advance.


Can I take photos in the restaurant?

Yes. While we do allow patrons to take photographs, we do not allow flash photography so as to preserve the intimacy of the space for all of our guests. We ask that you please keep cell phones and cameras off your table and the kitchen counter during your meal.


Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code. Feel free to come as you are.


Where do I park?

We provide a valet service for Trois Mec in our parking lot which is $7 per vehicle. Since we share a parking lot with other businesses, we require Trois Mec customers to use our valet service if parking in the lot. In addition, if your reservation is after 7:00PM, there is usually ample street parking available on Highland Ave. Before 6:00PM, please check street signs for residential parking restrictions on neighboring streets.


Is Trois Mec available for private parties?

Yes! If you are interested in buying out the restaurant for the evening or having Trois Mec cater your event, please email grace@troismec.com.
